# The crew behind the calm moving days

A small Brooklyn company with its own trucks, its own crews and a simple rule: the move you were quoted is the move you get.

## Dana Rivera, Founder

I started Example Movers in 2014 with one truck, two friends and a simple idea: New York moves are hard enough without a moving company making them harder. No surprise fees at the end of the day, no crews who disappear for an hour, no damaged doorframes in a building you still have to live next to.

Most of our work is walk-ups, doorman buildings and tight brownstone stairs, so we plan every move around the building, not just the boxes. We book the elevator, send the certificate of insurance to your building manager and check where the truck can actually park before the day.

Today we run a small fleet out of Brooklyn and move people across all five boroughs, North Jersey and Westchester. The crews are ours, the trucks are ours, and the phone (or the chat) is answered in seconds.

## Why 9,800+ customers chose us

- **We show up when we said** Arrival windows are kept, and you get a text when the crew is on the way.
- **The quote is the bill** Clear hourly or agreed pricing, written down before the day. No end-of-day surprises.
- **Buildings stay happy** COIs sent, elevators booked, floors and doorframes protected. Your super will not call you.

## The people who actually do the lifting

- **Marcus T.**, Crew lead: Has carried more pianos up Park Slope stairs than anyone we know.
- **Priya S.**, Move coordinator: Sends your COI, books the elevator and confirms every detail.
- **Luis M.**, Crew lead: Office moves and weekend jobs; calm when the freight elevator is not.
- **Jordan K.**, Packing lead: Wraps art, glass and TVs like they were going overseas.

- **2014** Year founded
- **9,800+** Moves completed
- **41,000+** Boxes packed
- **4.9★** 214 reviews
