A van makes sense when the load is small enough that a full truck would drive around half empty: a bed, a dresser and fifteen boxes, a couch from a seller in Astoria, or a few things out of a storage unit. It also helps where parking is tight. A van fits in spaces a truck can’t, so the crew spends less time circling the block and less time carrying from the corner.
