Studio Moves
Studio Moves in New York, Walk-Ups Included
A New York studio holds more than it looks: a bed, a sofa, a desk, a closet packed to the ceiling and boxes under everything. We move studios every week, from fifth-floor walk-ups in the East Village to doorman buildings in Long Island City, and most are done in a morning.
Two movers and a truck are $165 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, and most studio walk-ups come in at $495–$750. Text or chat for a reply in under a minute, or call (212) 555-0142.

Quick answer
Do you offer studio moves in NYC?
Yes. Studio moves are some of our most common jobs, in walk-ups, doorman buildings and new towers across the five boroughs, North Jersey and Westchester. Most studio walk-ups cost $495 to $750 fully done, with two movers and a truck. We can work hourly at $165 an hour or agree one price from a short video. That includes wrapping, taking the bed apart and rebuilding it, and sending your building a COI if it asks for one.
Typical job · Example pricesMost studio walk-up moves within New York City run $495–$750 fully done. Elevator buildings close together sit at the low end; long walk-ups or a move to Westchester at the high end.

Is this right for you?
When a studio move is the right choice
If you’re moving a full studio, with a bed, a sofa, a table and everything in the closet, this is the service for you. It’s quoted from one short video, uses a full truck so everything goes in one trip, and comes with the building paperwork many New York buildings expect.
Typical studio jobs for us are a fourth-floor walk-up in Bushwick going to an elevator building in Long Island City, an Upper West Side studio moving to a 1-bedroom in Jersey City, or a Midtown doorman building on the last day of the month. Most are done in a morning, with the truck parked as close to the door as the block allows.

Still not sure? Ask us. We reply in under a minute.
Chat nowHow much does a studio move cost?
Most studio walk-ups within the city run $495–$750 fully done. Elevator buildings close together usually come in at the low end.
How long does a studio move take?
Usually three to four hours from the first box to the rebuilt bed, longer with long walk-ups at both ends or a longer drive.
Is it cheaper to move midweek?
Often, yes. The 1st and the 31st of the month and summer weekends are the busiest days, so a Tuesday or Wednesday is easier to book and can lower an agreed price.
Do you take apart the bed?
Yes. Bed frames, tables and desks are taken apart and rebuilt as part of the move, at no extra charge.
Can you pack for me too?
Yes. Two packers usually pack a studio in two to three hours, and we can do it the same morning before the move.
